James Rogers is Associate Lecturer in International Politics at the University of York and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Rothermere American Institute, University of Oxford. His research focuses on War, Strategy, and International Relations Theory. His work has appeared in the International Journal of Human Rights, International Peacekeeping and the Guardian. James’ monograph, entitled ‘The Evolution of Precision Warfare’, is forthcoming in 2017.
Emma Butcher is an AHRC-funded researcher at the University of Hull and an Associate Lecturer in English Literature at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has been named as one of the BBC/AHRC’s New Generation Thinkers 2017. Her research focuses on children and war in the nineteenth century. In 2016, she has appeared as a talking head on BBC2’s ‘Being the Brontës’ and has written for History Today, BBC History Magazine and The Guardian.
